STIGMATIZATION

Since the history of man, certain diseases have been stigmatized.

Diseases like leprosy, Ebola virus disease,The Human Immuno Deficiency Virus (HIV) and more recently the COVID-19 are stigmatized. The downsize with these disease stigmatizations is that those with suspected or confirmed cases tend to go into hiding thus enabling the unfettered spread of the disease. These diseases are not necessarily death sentences. The population that stigmatize these illnesses ought to be enlightened.
