SOME POSITIVE EFFECTS OF THE LOCK DOWN

Updated: Jun 18, 2020

More than half of the global population have been on forced stay at home.

However, it's not been all doom and gloom. There has been a remarkable decrease in air pollution considering the forced reduction in use of fossil fuels and machinery. Many busy parents are getting to know new and delightful things about their children. In the process, they have appreciated the work of their school teachers who normally spend an average of forty hours per week with them. Marriages that were on the brink of divorce are being mended because the two partners have had time to spend with each other.

And for the first time, people around the world are beginning to question the heavy investment in entertainers and footballers when in crisis like this, doctors and researchers at the fore front are not paid one-tenth of these entertainers' and footballers' salaries.

On a sad note, there's been an increase in domestic violence with most women not having a place to escape to. Children have also not been left out in physical and verbal abuse from stressed parents.
